A fun and meaningful event is coming to Brockville this October.
“Lace Up To End Diabetes” will take place at Thousand Islands Secondary School Track on October 4, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The 5 km walk aims to raise funds and awareness for people living with diabetes.
Organizer Ashley Airhart-Cross spoke about her family’s personal experience with diabetes.
Participants can enjoy entertainment, refreshments, vendors, and inspiring stories.
The event also promotes healthy living and physical activity while fostering community support.
This year, Lace Up hopes to raise $200,000.
Airhart-Cross also explained how the funds raised will be used.
