What's Good in Brockville? Police partner with McDonald’s to hand out free coupons and connect over coffee

As part of the partnership, the community is invited to “Coffee with a Cop” on October 22 at 2 p.m. at the McDonald’s on Parkdale Avenue

The Brockville Police Service is teaming up with McDonald’s to spread goodwill and build stronger community connections.

In the coming weeks, officers on patrol will be handing out McDonald’s coupons to residents seen making positive contributions or engaging in friendly interactions.

Darryl Boyd from the Brockville Police explained why the partnership is great for all parties involved.

The initiative aims to break down barriers and give people the chance to see officers in a more approachable, everyday setting.

As part of the partnership, the community is invited to “Coffee with a Cop” on October 22 at 2 p.m. at the McDonald’s on Parkdale Avenue.

Residents can sit down, enjoy a coffee, and chat with officers in an open, casual environment.

Boyd shared examples of the types of questions officers are happy to answer.

The program hopes to inspire more positive daily interactions between police and the public.
