The rescheduled Canada Day fireworks will happen Sunday at 9 p.m.
Brockville residents are being reminded that several municipal offices and services will be closed for the 2026 Civic Holiday on Monday, Aug. 3.
City Hall, the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, the Wastewater Treatment Centre and the Water Filtration Plant will all be closed for the day.
Waste collection will not take place Monday. Pickup will move to the following day of each resident’s regular schedule for the rest of the week.
The compost site, Brockville Transit, the Brockville Arts Centre and the Brockville Public Library will also be closed.
Some attractions will remain open. The Brockville Tourism Visitor Information Centre and the Brockville Museum will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 3.
The city is also encouraging residents and visitors to explore local events and activities taking place across the community during the long weekend.
Brockville’s Canada Day fireworks, postponed earlier this summer because of weather conditions, have been rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 2, at Blockhouse Island, with the display set to begin at 9 p.m.
