Campers hoping for a summer spot on one of Brockville’s islands are being urged to apply now for the 2025 Seasonal Island Camping Lottery.
The deadline to apply is Friday, May 2 at 4 p.m.
By City Council rules, Brockville residents get first pick, followed by residents of Augusta, Elizabethtown-Kitley and Front of Yonge. Proof of residency may be required.
People from outside the area can still apply, but their names will only be drawn if sites are still available.
The draw happens Tuesday, May 6 at 5 p.m. Eligible applicants will be sent a virtual meeting link by email.
Island campsites are limited and highly sought after. The lottery helps ensure fairness while giving local residents priority access to one of the region’s most scenic camping options.
