Vital Brockville youth program at risk of closing after funding cut

Could close on September 30th

A long-running support program for vulnerable youth in Leeds and Grenville may be forced to shut down this fall after losing government funding.

RNJ Youth Services announced this week that its Connections Program could close on September 30th following the loss of Ministry of Education support. The program has served as a lifeline for local youth and families for more than a decade, offering guidance, stability and resources to those in need.

Staff and community advocates say the closure would leave a serious gap in services, affecting young people who rely on Connections every day. RNJ Youth Services says it is exploring all possible options to keep the program open, while urging community members to stay informed and engaged.

RNJ thanked staff, partners and supporters for standing behind the program during this uncertain time.
