Three-car crash in Brockville ends with impaired driving charge

The individual had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit of 80 milligrams per 100 milliliters of blood

A three-vehicle crash in Brockville on Friday, Sep. 12th has led to an impaired driving charge.

Brockville Police were called to California Avenue around 11:20 a.m. after a report of a collision involving three vehicles. Police say a southbound vehicle rear-ended another, causing it to hit the vehicle in front.

The 32-year-old driver of the first vehicle and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

After investigating, officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. Police say the individual had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit of 80 milligrams per 100 milliliters of blood.

The driver was charged with impaired operation and driving over the legal blood alcohol concentration.

They were later released and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

No other serious injuries were reported. Police have not released the name of the accused.

The investigation is ongoing.
