Three years ago this August
Our focus on Mental Health Week continues with Brockville native Meara Deery. A familiar face in the community who attended high-school at Thousand Islands Secondary, remains involved in local gymnastics, and worked many Brockville Ribfests.
Shortly following their engagement in August of 2022, Meara and her fiance Kyle Robinson were involved in a devastating ATV accident in which she survived, but sadly, he did not.
Almost three years later, Meara is still dealing with life-altering injuries, and says she cannot thank the community enough for their support since day one towards her and her family.
Meara then provides a message to others out there who are struggling.
She says for her to keep going is what Kyle would've wanted.
