Ontario boosts funding by $1.1 million for Leeds-Grenville municipalities in 2026

$1.6 million for Brockville

Municipalities across Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes are set to receive more than $13.9 million in 2026 through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF), marking an increase of over $1.1 million from last year.

MPP Steve Clark shared the news with Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley Mayor Brant Burrow this week, saying the funding will help communities maintain essential services and manage costs for local taxpayers.

The OMPF is the province’s main financial assistance program for municipalities, with a total investment of $600 million for 2026.

Funding allocations include $2.1 million for Rideau Lakes, $1.9 million for Prescott, and $1.6 million for Brockville. Other municipalities, including North Grenville, Gananoque, and Elizabethtown-Kitley, will also see increases.

Clark said the province remains committed to supporting municipalities and ensuring residents continue to receive the services they rely on while keeping local taxes affordable.
