The business closed its doors in December
Brockville residents are adjusting to summer without Cowans Dairy, the well-known ice cream shop that closed around December last year.
For years, Cowans was a popular stop for ice cream lovers, just minutes from the St. Lawrence River. Locals and tourists alike would visit for cones, sundaes, and milkshakes on hot days.
Now, many are asking where to go instead. Some have started visiting other ice cream spots around town, just like this local.
People are also wondering if the shop might reopen at some point in the future.
As of now, there is no word on plans for the building or business, just speculation.
The good news is, there are other local options for those cool, tasty treats: O'Mally Kourt Fudgery, Fat Les' on Blockhouse Island, Le Gilbert at Gilbert Marine, and Dairy Queen.
