High school seniors have a new reason to speak up—literally
My Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), parent company of this station, is offering a $2,500 Community First Scholarship to one graduating student planning to continue their education.
To qualify, applicants must live in our listening area, and plan to attend college, university, or a trade program.
MBC Media's VP of Programming, Rob Mise, says the scholarship aims to support students who value community involvement.
To apply, students must submit a 1- to 2-minute audio or video recording answering the question: “What does community mean to you?”
Mise encourages students to take a few minutes and share their unique perspectives.
The winner will be chosen based on the message in their recording. Applications and recordings must be sent in by June 3 at 7 p.m. EST. Get full details and rules here at brockvilledaily.ca.
