Tupper Street, located next to the school, is down to one lane during the meet
Thousand Islands Secondary School is proudly hosting the Upper Canada Cup Track and Field Meet today, drawing student athletes from across the Upper Canada District School Board.
The event is expected to bring hundreds of participants, coaches and spectators to the area. With high attendance, drivers should prepare for heavy traffic and delays around the school.
Tupper Street, located next to the school, is down to one lane during the meet. Cars are parked on both sides of the road, and construction vehicles are also present, making it harder for drivers to pass through.
Local officials are urging drivers to slow down, plan extra time for travel and consider alternate routes if possible.
TISS staff and organizers thank the community for their patience and support as students compete in this important event. The meet celebrates athletic achievement and brings together schools from across the region for a day of sports and school spirit.
