A 40-year-old man was arrested after police say he tried to hide in a dryer following a domestic dispute in a Windsor Drive apartment on July 12.
Police received a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. about an agitated man arguing with a woman. When officers arrived, the man tried to avoid arrest by hiding in a laundry room dryer.
Investigators later learned the man was under a court order not to have any contact with the woman, stemming from a previous case involving intimate partner violence.
Officers also found evidence that an earlier assault had taken place.
The man was arrested and held for a bail hearing. He is facing multiple charges, including assault, failing to comply with an undertaking, and obstructing justice.
Police have not released the names of those involved. The investigation remains ongoing, and further charges may be considered.
