He faces multiple charges
A 24-year-old man was arrested after allegedly trying to break into an apartment on Fairknowe Drive in Brockville on July 6.
At around 3:45 p.m., Brockville Police received a call about a male kicking a door at a residential building. When officers arrived, they quickly located the suspect and placed him under arrest.
Police say the man had previously been in a relationship with one of the female tenants in the building. He had been told to leave the property earlier that morning and not return.
Despite the warning, the man allegedly came back in the afternoon and attempted to force his way into the apartment by kicking the door. Officers later discovered he was on probation at the time, with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The man was charged with break and enter and failing to comply with probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
