Expect lane closures and detours on Hwy 401 near Stewart Boulevard
Construction season goes into full effect next Monday. Repair work on the Highway 401/Stewart Blvd and 401/North Augusta Road structures will get underway.
It is expected to finish by October 2, 2026.
The project includes paving highway ramps and nearby city streets.
Traffic will be affected with lane closures on both eastbound and westbound Hwy 401 lanes and city streets.
At least one lane will stay open at all times. Temporary ramp closures and detours will be in place as needed, with signs guiding drivers.
In 2025, crews will focus on paving and Stewart Blvd repairs. The North Augusta Road structure will be repaired in 2026.
