Hospital officials say the equipment will help save lives

The Volunteer Association has donated $55,000 to Brockville General Hospital to support the hospital’s “Ride The River” campaign.

The money will help buy new, advanced endoscopy equipment. This technology will improve early detection and treatment of colorectal conditions, including cancer. Hospital officials say the equipment will help save lives by catching problems earlier and allowing for faster, more accurate care.

The Volunteer Association raised the money through various fundraising efforts and community support. The hospital says it is thankful for the generous gift and the continued dedication of volunteers.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in Canada, and early diagnosis greatly improves outcomes.

This donation is expected to make a big impact on patient care in the Brockville area.
