Two candidates confirmed
The Leeds-Grenville Labour Council is hosting a Federal Election Labour Talk on Monday, April 14, to hear what matters most to workers in the region.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is open to the public both in-person and online. The talk will focus on issues important to workers in Leeds-Grenville, Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
Two local candidates will be in attendance: Lorna Jean Edmonds for the Liberal Party and Paul Lancione for the NDP.
Those wishing to join online can register at https://tinyurl.com/LG-LabourTalk. In-person guests can attend at the OPSEU Regional Office, Unit 201, 133 King Street in Brockville.
The Leeds-Grenville Labour Council says the goal is to give workers a chance to hear directly from candidates and ask questions ahead of the next federal election.
Everyone is welcome to attend and join the discussion.
