Heavy snow warning: Brockville and Prescott could see 20 cm by tonight

Environment Canada encourages residents to monitor ongoing weather alerts and forecasts

Residents of Brockville and Prescott are being warned to prepare for heavy snow and blowing conditions beginning this morning, Environment Canada says. An Alberta clipper is expected to bring 15 to 20 centimetres of snow across the area, with visibility reduced at times.

The snowfall is forecast to move from west to east, ending Wednesday night. Roads and walkways are expected to be slippery and difficult to navigate, with travel likely to be challenging. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for commuting, as rush-hour traffic may be significantly affected.

Environment Canada encourages residents to monitor ongoing weather alerts and forecasts. Severe weather can be reported by emailing ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or posting on X using #ONStorm. More information on the alert program is available through Colour-coded Weather Alerts.

The snow warning is in effect for Brockville and Prescott.
