Part of Brockville’s plan to make waste management more sustainable and environmentally friendly

Big changes are coming to curbside waste collection in Brockville this fall.

Starting in fall 2025, the City of Brockville will launch a new Green Bin program that offers weekly pickup of household organic waste. The initiative is aimed at reducing the amount of garbage sent to landfills by encouraging residents to separate food scraps and other compostable materials.

The city says the program will be available to all eligible households. Full details, including a list of what can go in the green bin, will be shared in the coming months.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed by checking the city’s website, brockville.com/solidwaste.

Officials say the program is part of Brockville’s plan to make waste management more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

More updates will be shared as the launch date gets closer.
