Available until September 2
The Canada Strong Pass is giving Canadians a reason to explore more this summer, says Canadian Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault who paid a visit to Thousand Islands National Park yesterday.
The pass, available until September 2, has contributed to a 15 percent increase in museum visits and boosted attendance at parks, VIA Rail, and other attractions.
Guilbeault noted the initiative partly responds to fewer Canadians travelling this season.
The Canada Strong Pass offers free admission to all Parks Canada sites and 25 percent off camping fees.
Children 17 and under enjoy free access to national museums and VIA Rail when accompanied by an adult, while young adults aged 18 to 24 receive half-price admission and 25 percent off rail travel.
Guilbeault also emphasized the sense of unity among Canadians has been notable.
The pass is available to all Canadians as a convenient, non-physical option, making it easier and more affordable than ever to experience the country’s natural beauty and history.
