Construction has officially begun on Brockville’s new Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel, city officials and project leaders announced Friday.

The $20-million, 82-room hotel is being built on Crocker Crescent and is expected to open in early 2027.

The project was celebrated with a ground-breaking ceremony attended by MPP Steve Clark, Mayor Matt Wren, owner Harinder Brar, Luis Zelayeta of Zelayeta Construction, and Adrian Mauro of the Chamberlain Group of Companies.

The hotel represents a major investment in Brockville’s growing hospitality sector and is expected to support local tourism and create new jobs.

The Home2 Suites project joins the nearby Hampton Inn, also owned by Brar, and is part of ongoing efforts to attract more development and investment to Brockville. The project highlights the city’s commitment to expanding accommodations for visitors and supporting economic growth.
