The city of Brockville mourns the loss of community hero Niraj Patel, who passed away on April 3rd.
Most know Patel as the owner of Local Convenience on King St.
Patel is remembered for his quick thinking in 2022, when he saved an elderly couple from a phone scam by alerting local police.
His actions earned him praise as a local hero.
Patel was laid to rest on April 6th, leaving behind a lasting impact on his community.
