A total to 49 criminal charges since March of this year
A 31-year-old Brockville man is in custody after being arrested on June 24 in connection with a long list of criminal charges, many stemming from intimate partner violence. Police say the man was wanted for numerous offences including assault, uttering threats, harassing communications, mischief, and unlawfully being in a dwelling. He also faced several counts of breaching probation and failing to comply with previous bail conditions.
Despite multiple previous arrests and court-ordered conditions, police say the man continued to offend and actively evaded authorities for weeks. Officers located him around 7:15 a.m. at a residence on Central Avenue, where he was arrested without incident.
He now faces an additional four charges related to breaching court orders, bringing his total to 49 criminal charges since March of this year. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing. Police continue to investigate his ongoing pattern of offences.
