Court date coming up
A 32-year-old man has been charged after allegedly chasing two males with a weapon on April 20, 2025.
At about 12:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting the disturbance in the King St. E. area. Officers determined the two men being chased were unharmed.
The suspect was identified as a local man who was on probation. It was initially thought he was carrying a knife, but further investigation revealed the weapon was a baton.
The man was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of failing to comply with probation. He was later released with a future court date.
