The All Hands on Deck food drive
The 2025 All Hands on Deck Food Drive proved to be a huge success in Brockville.
The community stepped up to support local children and families in need, raising a grand total of $19,600 and 2,549 pounds of food for the Brockville and Area Food Bank.
Monetary and non-perishable food donations came in bunches during the event at the Real Canadian Superstore from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. yesterday.
The unfortunate reality is that these totals will help re-stock the shelves for about a month with the food bank seeing around 2,000 visits per month.
With an emphasis on kids and back-to-school, here's Louise from the food bank on what this means to them.
Getting to this total wouldn't have been possible without the incredible generosity from people like Winfield Sifton and Janet Jenkins on behalf of the Armagh L. Sifton Charitable Foundation.
A huge thanks to all the sponsors and supporters who filled the day with energy and goodwill.
The results reflect the community’s commitment to helping those in need and the All Hands on Deck Food Drive is proof that Brockville is stronger when it works together.
