Brockville city councillors want more time to review a proposed reserve fund for the local police force. The general committee postponed a decision after hearing from Police Chief Mark Noonan and Police Board Chair King Yee, Jr.
The reserve fund would collect surplus money from police budgets, mainly from third-party criminal record checks. In 2025, this revenue is expected to reach $1.5 million. However, city officials say this income can change due to market and legal factors.
