The clinics will return on September 17th
Pet owners across Lanark, Leeds and Grenville will soon have an affordable way to protect their furry friends. The South East Health Unit has announced the return of low-cost rabies vaccination clinics on September 17, 2025.
Dr. Linna Li, Deputy Medical Officer of Health, says it makes sense for the health unit to get involved.
The Doctor says even indoor pets benefit, as bats have been reported entering homes this summer.
Twelve clinics will run in communities including Brockville, Elgin, Prescott, Kemptville, Merrickville, Lanark, Carleton Place, Smiths Falls and Perth. Shots are just $25 cash, with pets required to be on a leash or in a carrier. Owners will receive proof of vaccination certificates, important for travel or kennel stays.
Andrew Dunn, Senior Public Health Inspector, says hunting dogs are also strongly encouraged to be vaccinated before the season begins.
Here in Brockville, these clinics will be offered at: Island City Animal Hospital on Stewart Blvd and
Lanark Leeds Grenville Spay & Neuter Clinic on County Road 29.
