Bylaw services report presented
Brockville’s 2024 Annual Building and Bylaw Services report reveals the city’s busiest year in residential construction in nearly four decades.
City staff issued 299 building permits, including 221 for new residential homes, representing an estimated $65.3 million in construction value. Permit fees collected totaled nearly $784,000, a $345,000 increase from 2023. More than 1,400 inspections were conducted, with most projects passing.
Officials say the construction boom reflects strong growth in Brockville’s housing market. The full report is available on the city’s website.
