Leslie Hubbard from Girls Inc., the charity that offers group programs for girls to help them become strong smart and bold spoke to myFM about their Groceries for Girls program.
Hubbard explained to our Bruce Wylie that the program offers support to girls signed up with their organization.
Hubbard says they wanted to help, even though food isn't an area Girls Inc. usually tackles.
She adds that they're hoping to help families at different levels of need, even if they're already using the food bank.
Girls Inc is also looking for partners to help Groceries for Girls happen.
Hubbard says they welcome donations of any size, adding every little bit helps.
