What's Good in Brockville and area? Deer hunting season is underway

The deer hunting season goes for about two months, but the first two weeks is gun season

November is here and that means deer hunting season is underway.

Jodie Hall, a local Communications Officer with the UCDSB says she took Monday and Tuesday off for the season opener with family and friends in wildlife management unit 65 located in the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry area.

She says it's something she looks forward to since first getting into it four years ago, and her family has been hunting on that unit since 1997.

Hall says the deer hunting season goes for about two months, but the first two weeks is gun season.

It's important to hunt responsibly, she adds.
